Romani Restoration started in San Francisco Ca. in 1986 as an antique furniture refinisher service. Marco Romani, founder, has 37 years’ experience refinishing homes and furniture. His experience includes French Polish, mixing and stain with new styles of refinishing that he learned in Italian school, Marco attended the school in Florence in the year 2000.
Romani Restoration relocated to Pasadena CA and has successfully been restoring wood for over 35 years. Romani Restoration has expanded its business to include the refinishing of historic Craftsman and Bungalow style homes.

Restoration includes removal of paint from historical homes, refinishs of all types of woods, walls, ceilings, doors, baseboards and ceiling crown molding to match existing woods. In Pasadena we have worked at Castle Green, the historic old library of Pasadena and many more historical type residences located in Bungalow Heaven in and around San Gabriel Valley, South Pasadena, Eagle rock, and Long beach.
Marco Romani has been recognized as a true craftsman receiving awards for his work at an 1910 craftsman style home, located at 650 west California blvd overlooking the ARROYO SECO in Pasadena. In 2009 was awarded the historic preservation award by the city of Pasadena and the state of Calif. for his meticulous renovation and restoration. Romani Restoration was also recognized by the city of Alhambra in 2014 as “Best of 2014” for his excellent work restoring historic homes throughout the city of Alhambra.
Marco Romani is a hands on restorer, handling all restoration work from start to finish, he pays careful attention to detail which is essential to a restoration project He is the one who handles all color mixing, applies the color and does the finish work for his customers so that a client is completely happy with the work.
Marco’s crew has many years of experience working side by side with him to assure that all work is prepared and ready for Marco to complete the staining and finishing of the project.
Preparation work includes covering everything in and around the wood and the floor to insure that stripping/removal of paint is safe and complete, then restoration work can commence so Marco can finish staining and complete the job.
Romani Restoration specializes only in restoring and refinishing work, not in construction or painting homes, so the work that is done is assured to be top notch and every customer is completely satisfied. Marco Romani loves his work, has a passion to satisfy his customers and enjoys the reaction from clients of the finished project.
We specialize in exterior front and interior doors. Exterior door preparation is removing door, preparing door by taping glass, removing hardware, stripping paint or varnish, sanding and applying wood conditioner because the exterior door is exposed to sun and rain, making it very dry. After that we make the stain color with the customer approval to finish staining and refinishing with polyurethane UV.
